altitude is registered as negative

Description

I am just starting out with bbTracker. Thanks for this utilitarian program! I'm using a Blackberry 8310 with OS 4.5 on it (official AT&T). All seems to work fine apart from the altitude, which is registered as negative, for example (here in CO) -1683m, which is accurate apart from being negative. It would be great if that got fixed. Thanks, Amnon

Me too - so here's another datapoint:

BBerry = 9000 "Bold" Enterprise enabled with "medium" security level. OS = v4.6.0.125 (Platform 4.0.0.134) bbTracker = 0.5.3.1

I also find the altitude consistently wrong by about -20m so I'll file a separate ticket about that once I confirm and characterize the problem.

I did a little research and it seems that several models of the Blackberry, including the 9000 that I have, have a bug in the software that causes the altitude to be returned as the negative of what it should be.

I don't know what you can do about it except to check the version for the problem and correct the sign of the altitude.
